Celebrating the opening of our flagship clinic in Remuera: A world-class destination for advanced imaging, innovation, and improved patient outcomes.

More than 90 healthcare professionals and stakeholders joined us on 15 December for the official opening of our new flagship clinic at 99 Remuera Road.

The evening began with a waiata led by local iwi representatives, followed by speeches from Steve Carden (RHCNZ CEO), John Livingston (RHCNZ Board Chair) and Dr Stephen Merrilees (Managing Radiologist, ARG). A ribbon-cutting ceremony then marked the official opening before guests took part in guided tours of our purpose-built facility.

Our guests explored our diagnostic suites featuring Auckland’s most sensitive PET-CT scanner and the Southern Hemisphere’s most advanced analogue SPECT-CT scanner – both designed to deliver clearer, more precise diagnostic results. The new facility, which is twice the size of our previous Remuera clinic, also features spacious waiting areas, private seating zones and modern amenities that help create a calm and welcoming experience for patients.

Dr Stephen Merrilees said the clinic represents “a significant leap forward in diagnostic imaging for us in Auckland. The purpose-built design and advanced technology enhance the quality and consistency of the imaging we provide, supporting more accurate and informed clinical decisions. And ultimately, it enables us to provide an improved patient experience.”

Steve Carden also shared, “This clinic builds on ARG’s legacy and furthers our mission to improve health outcomes for all New Zealanders. By combining advanced imaging technology with expert care, we accelerate access and support better treatment for our patients today and in the future.”

Thank you to everyone who joined us to celebrate this exciting milestone.
